St Andrews Sunday School Information
The Sunday School of St Andrew's Anglican Church in Moscow welcomes you and your children. We look forward to getting to know you all this year. The Sunday School Classes take place during the 11am service. The children return to you before communion. The first Sunday of the month is called "Family Sunday" and instead of Sunday school the children may take part in the services. We have three groups:
- The Crèche (Nursery) ages 0-4. The children should be taken to the last room down the corridor on the same floor as the church. This age group is cared for by two experienced Russian girls who have been caring for our younger children for the last several years.
- Middle Youth (known as rocks in our teaching booklet). This group is be made up of children ages 5-12 years. Our teachers will rotate every 2 weeks so they can begin a lesson and follow it through for the next week. Our program follows our Gospel reading in the church and we ask that you parents go over the lesson with your child during the week to reinforce what we are doing in our Sunday School. This group will meet downstairs in room 19. It is downstairs to the right — the first room on the right. (As we get more participants, we would like to divide this group into two groups, ages 5-8 and ages 9-12.)
- Teen Youth Group, ages 13-18. The Teen Youth Club meets twice a month, in family’s homes as well as at the parsonage. This group focuses on a wide variety of interests of the group and our Chaplain. They share ideas, music, food and the Gospel.
Our Sunday School follows the Gospel read each Sunday in church. If you have any questions, please contact us by email.
