Donations, Giving & Stewardship

Donations

Donations of all sizes and in US dollars, Euros, Pounds or Russian roubles from friends, well-wishers and members of the congregation are sincerely appreciated. Donations in other currencies may need special prior arrangements. They can be general, or restricted to the support of one of our specific objectives and can be made in person at the Church, by mail or by bank transfer – see below for special arrangements for people who have UK or US bank accounts.

Tax-efficient donations

People who wish to give from the US: donations can be made to the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society in New York. Please send donations to them accompanied by a standard form of letter (expressing a wish that the donation be passed on to St. Andrews Church. People who wish to give from the UK: donations can be made via the Diocese of Europe using this form: UK giving

Envelope Scheme

Regular giving envelopes are available from the Chaplain or the Treasurer.

UK taxpayers: if what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax is at least equal the amount the church will claim in the tax year you may be able to give via Gift Aid and potentially allow the church to recover a tax refund currently amounting to approximately 28% of your donation. Please send the Treasurer a copy of the Gift Aid form available here in either [pdf] or [Word] format.

We have mentioned 'Gift Aid' for those who pay UK Tax; other countries may have similar systems for enabling you to obtain tax relief on your donations – please let us know of any specific requirements when you contact us and we will do our best to comply with them. Please send a letter or an e-mail to the Treasurer for further details of how to make donations in the most effective way and to suit your own circumstances.
